What started as a big kitchen remodel turned into a full house renovation when a tree fell on the back of the house. We put most of our focus on the kitchen and advised on the rest of the home when needed. In this project we took in a tucked away playroom to make the kitchen larger. We also improved the flow by creating an opening off of the front entry into the kitchen. We wanted this kitchen to be warm and welcoming- encouraging people to stay a while. We build a huge “furniture-like” island that appears to be sitting on bun feet. In reality the base sits on the floor under the center. We were able to fit four large wicker barstools and tons of cabinet storage. The panel ready appliances , arched pocket door and special countertop details all contribute to the bespoke outcome.
